Modern Aquatic

Indie rock band from the suburbs of good ole' Cincinnati, Ohio. Originated in the summer of 2015 with dreams of playing in front of big crowds & releasing music for all to hear. The unique relaxed beach tone they have created has become a signature of their sound and hope you all enjoy it. Currently getting ready to record new & old material for you all!

Sun Delay

Sun Delay is a group hard at work on their first EP, whose eclectic blend of genres both groovy and hard hitting have given them a wide range of appeal within the Cincinnati music scene. The band was formed in 2016 as Cerro Gordo, but came into it's current lineup as Sun Delay in early 2017 when Bassist/Singer Sam Krimmer replaced former Bassist Corey Jackson, joining the rest of the band in an inaugural show at the house best known for spawning Modern Aquatic, another local act. 'Our styles of writing music as a duo just clicked,' says Sam, 'and we took off writing music together.'

This mesh in lyricism and structure isn't the only thing that defines the band's sound, however. Lead Guitarist/Singer Andrew Kubiak and Rhythm Guitarist Lamont Nelms wide variety of spacey effects and guitar tones give the band it's unique mid range, while Sam and Drummer Cole DeRose's funk/alternative tendencies keeps the foundation hard and snappy. Playing house shows and small venues helped to hone this melting pot into a cohesive whole, and although they couldn't be happier with the support they're getting from devoted fans in the Cincinnati area they've set their sights on commercial release with the aforementioned EP, and possible touring of the midwestern region.

‘What you often hear from band managers and critics is that bands should know their genre, their bread and butter, and stick to it. That’s not how we see things. We’ve taken a page from the band Yes, bringing together all our tastes and unique approaches to music to create a vibrant, groovy, and aggressive sound that is all our own,’ says Sam, ‘Music is about the love of playing it, so why try to limit ourselves? We love what we do and so do our fans.’
