School of Rock Mason is returning to The Southgate House Revival on January 20 with a doubleheader steeped in the music of the 80s and 90s. At 4pm, one group of students will pay tribute to R.E.M. and the B52s. At 7pm another group will perform Ladies of the 80s, with music from Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, The Pretenders, The Go-Go’s, The Bangles and others. The students are some of the best young musicians in the area, and their shows at Southgate House have always been a delight. A ticket is good for both shows.
School of Rock Mason is a performance-oriented music school that opened in 2012. Since then its students have put on more than 70 different shows, with new shows performed every four months.
